Shop Policies + Waitlist Information

It's so important to us that clients who purchase packages or memberships get to fully use and enjoy them! That's why the following policies are in place, so that everyone who intends to take a class can come and get the most of their time and value at The Shop.

10 hr Cancellation Policy

ALL CLASSES | ALL CLASS TIMES - 10 HR CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel within 10 hours of the class start time, you will lose the class credit.
Unlimited package holders will incur a $20 late cancellation fee.

*Please note that circumstances like traffic and illnesses are not exempt from late cancellation fees, as we try our hardest to allow as many clients as possible to be able to plan for and take class!


NO SHOW POLICY

NO SHOWS WILL INCUR A $25 FEE REGARDLESS OF PACKAGE OR MEMBERSHIP TYPE.

Why you ask? With limited machines, we want to guarantee that anyone planning on taking class, can take class. These policies are in place to make things fair for EVERYONE! Show up for the class you booked or cancel your reservation, so someone else can get cut!


WAITLIST INFO

LET’S TALK WAITLISTS!

Don’t be dismayed by the waitlists - it’s normal for there to be waitlists for classes, especially in the couple of weeks leading up to them. Trust us, that does not mean you’re not making it in!

As you’re able, keep the 10 hour window in mind. Once the window has passed, if anyone who has signed up for the class drops out, that space becomes available on a first come, first served basis. To view any last minute openings, remove yourself from the waitlist as the system no longer pulls automatically from it after the 10 hour cancellation window has passed. Keep an eye out for open spots using the app or website, especially if you live close to a studio or have some flexibility in your schedule.

In a pinch, don’t be afraid to just show up. Butchers will completely understand, and you may just benefit from someone no-showing. Just be prepared for any potential scenario if you go this route.


CLASS ALERTS

How will I be notified if I get into class and off a waitlist?

You will receive an email and/or text notification if you make it into a class off a waitlist only if you have notifications turned on. Make sure you have notifications turned on in your account settings, otherwise you will not receive these messages!

If you are on a waitlist for a class and a spot opens up, you’ll be moved in automatically so long as the cancellation window has not passed. For example, if you’re on the waitlist for a 4:15pm class, you could be moved in automatically up until 10 hours of that class but after that you can remove yourself from the waitlist and see if a spot opens.

CLASS & BOOKING LIMITS

How many classes am I allowed to take per day?

Clients are allowed to book and take a maximum of 1 class per day total, regardless of membership or credit package, across all studios. It's incredibly important to us to allocate space for as many of our clients as possible!

Note that we reserve the right to cancel excess reservations. Any clients making multiple reservations per day may see cancelled reservations or drop in charges added to compensate accordingly.

We know it can be tempting to jump on a few waitlists and see which one moves faster, but when so many clients subscribe to this method it can over-inflate waitlists and lead to more late cancellations and no shows. So, we recommend choosing the class you want to be in the most, keeping in mind that within 10 hours of a class’ start time any open spots become first come, first served for sign up.


CELL PHONE POLICY

Phones are to be in class for emergencies only. We want to create a space where you can disconnect and be present in class. Having your phone out in class becomes a distraction to the instructor and surrounding clients.

For the safety and security of our broader community, videos may NOT be taken by clients in class. Feel free to snap the workout selfie before or after, but refrain from filming once class begins. If a coach sees someone filming in class with their phone, they will be asked to stop.


BOOKING CLASSES

When is the booking window for classes?

Every Sunday at 2:30PM we release the next week of schedules on a rolling 3 week calendar. So every Sunday at 2:30PM, the schedule three weeks out from that date goes live.

If you can’t get to your app right at 2:30pm, don’t worry! We encourage everyone to sign up when you can and jump on waitlists as you’re likely to be pleasantly surprised by the amount of movement.


MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PENALTY CANCELS & NO SHOWS

How many is too many? 

Here at the Shop, we'd much rather you be in class than collect your late cancellation or no show fees. This helps keep attendance strong, our coaches fully compensated, machines occupied, and waitlists fair. Accordingly, we reserve the right to freeze memberships for any clients who accrue 6 or more late cancellation or no show fees in a single billing period. We're happy to work with you to find a class pack or membership that best fits the cadence you're aiming for, and prioritizes attendance across our studios.
